Dr. Anssari is licensed to practice neurology in Manitoba, Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta. She has a fellowship in concussion, post-concussion syndrome, and chronic traumatic encephalopathy from Toronto Western Hospital, University of Toronto which she obtained in 2019.
She joined the University of Manitoba as an Assistant professor in 2016 and continued her collaboration with the university until 2020.
Dr. Anssari completed her MD training at The Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in 2008, neurology residency at the University of Manitoba in 2016.
She started her private practice and research in August of 2020.

What it means to be a concussion subspecialist

Concussion fellowship is a subspecialty of neurology or sports medicine. The subspecialist receives 1-2 years of extra training after residency. A concussion subspecialist diagnoses and treats the symptoms of concussion and helps patients through their recovery period.
